Scope
This specification covers the general requirements for design; manufacturing and testing of 380V variable frequency drive and its MCC for .
This specification shall be used in conjunction with all specifications, data sheets and drawings attached to the material requisition.
Codes and Standards
All equipment shall be designed, manufactured and tested in accordance with the applicable sections of the codes and standards listed in Appendix A. The latest edition shall always be used.
Equipment manufactured in Overseas shall be designed, manufactured and tested in accordance with IEC or IEEE codes and standards.
The word ‘should’ shall be replaced by ‘shall’ wherever it appears in the reference standards.
Conflicts between referenced documents shall be identified to the BUYER in writing for resolution. In general the order of precedence is:
- Single Line Diagram
- Material Requisition
- This specification
- Reference standards
The VFD MCC SELLER shall provide full details of equipment supplied to the MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT SELLER to confirm compatibility with the motor.
Where the motor is located in a hazardous area, the VFD SELLER shall provide certification for the VFD/motor combination. The certificate shall state the range of speeds over which the motor can operate continuously.
Service Conditions 现场条件
VFD shall be designed for use under the following ambient conditions:
- Location: Indoor
- Altitude: 1000m or below above the sea level
- Design ambient air temperature: max. 39.1 0C, min. –11.530C
- Relative humidity: Max. monthly average 79%
- Design life of equipment shall be 20 years minimum.
Electrical Supply System
The supply is 380V, 3 phases, 4 wires, 50 Hz, neutral-point solidly earthed, with a maximum fault level of 50 kA for 1 second.
The VFD MCC shall be capable of continuous operation within the following power supply tolerances:
- Voltage: /- 10%
- Frequency: /- 1%
The two extremes of voltage and frequency are only considered to coincide during transient conditions.
A transient voltage depression to 80% rated voltage shall not affect VFD MCC operation.
Protection against over current and voltage transients shall be provided.
Electrical harmonics at the supply side of the VFD MCC shall not exceed the limits stipulated in IEEE-519.
The VFD circuit shall be fitted with an input reactor and an output reactor to ensure reliable operation with motor cable lengths of up to 500m.
